boatDear members of the Lavallette Yacht Club:

Another season is fast approaching and our volunteers have been working very hard to spruce up the club for the opening.  If you have not been to the club this spring, stop by and check out our new west bulkhead which was completed recently.  As you may or may not be aware, Mother Nature was not very kind to LYC this winter.  A February northeaster caused extensive damage to our south dock and replacement of the east end should be completed in the near future.  This has all been possible because of the members that have spent countless hours working around the club to make LYC the best club on the bay.

On a more cheery note, the club is open on Friday and Saturday nights until June 16 when the club will officially open for the season.  You can access and print out the 2014 calendar by following the link LYC 2014 Calendar.  You can also access Hours of Operation and Events at a Glance at Hours of Operation and Events at a Glance.  Both of these are also easily accessed by visiting the LYC website http://www.lavalletteyc.org/ and selecting Events.  Our webpage will display our weekly dinner menu by Thursday of each week to keep you informed.  Our staff has been training and is ready to assist your needs.  To avoid the awkward end of season tipping process we have a new tipping procedure this year.  You can add a tip directly to your order on the POS system.  This is a totally voluntary system which allows tipping at different rates or not at all.  Please feel free to share your thoughts on this procedure as the year progresses.

The Club’s officers and committees have developed a plethora of programs and events for your enjoyment.  I encourage each and every member to both enjoy and participate in LYC.  If you wish to be a part of a committee or assist in any way, feel free to contact me with your interest.  As the 2014 season evolves let us look forward to our spirit of camaraderie and volunteerism that has made our club what it is.
