To Large Slip-Holders, Users of the LYC Marina and All Other Members:
The last 65 feet of the Club’s marina dock were recently damaged by ice, affecting large slips S1L, S2L, S3L, S4L, S5L, S6L and possibly S7L. The process of repair may also affect the ability to use the remaining large slips and possibly interfere temporarily with use of small slips or access to the marina for other purposes.
The Club has arranged for repair to be finished by Memorial Day weekend.
For safety reasons, please be kind enough to honor the following limitations on use of the marina dock and marina until after the repair is complete:
1. No member should walk on the damaged portion of the marina dock (the last or easternmost 65 feet of dock where the large slips are located).
2. No boat should enter or be tied up in any of the affected large slips (S1L through S7L). The remaining large slips should be used only with the prior consent of the Rear Commodore or another Flag Officer.
3. Small slips inside the marina should be used, and other use of the marina should be made, only when ingress or egress does not interfere with dock repair activities, recognizing that some repair activities may temporarily block the entrance to the marina (such as use of a barge to load and carry away debris).
