The upcoming weekend features one of LYC’s favorite events, lots of other regular events, and an international sailing regatta that the Club will be hosting.
Champagne Brunch and Other Regular Events. The Champagne Brunch on Sunday.
More details on the Champagne Brunch and other events, updates, and information regarding kitchen, R-to- R Room and upstairs hours appear in this edition of The Scuttlebutt, under “This Week” on the LYC website and in various e-mail “blasts” from Committee Chairs and sponsors of events.
M-Scow North Americans. We are proud to be hosting the M-Scow North American Championship Regatta Friday through Sunday, July 29-31, 2016. The Young Adults Committee is sponsoring a gathering, to which all LYC members are invited, that will be held upstairs on Saturday evening in honor of the sailors visiting us from elsewhere in the United States and from Canada. Registration, meals and other M-Scow Regatta activities will be conducted principally upstairs. Please extend a friendly welcome to all our visitors!
Sanderling Regatta at Normandy Beach Yacht Club. On Saturday, July 30, 2016, Normandy Beach Yacht Club is hosting its annual Sanderling Regatta. Registration is between
11:30 am and 12:15 pm, the skippers meeting is at 12:30 pm, three races will be conducted as soon thereafter as possible, and an awards ceremony at NBYC follows. The fee is $20. All LYC Sanderlings are encouraged to participate and enjoy some wonderful sailing!
Kitchen Closed on Saturday Night. As in the past, the kitchen will be closed on Saturday evening so that our kitchen and serving staff will be free to make the necessary preparations for our Champagne Brunch on Sunday.
