LYC Opens its Doors for its 115th Season!

Members,

The Building, House and Grounds Committees have been working diligently during the off-season to enable the pre-season opening of the club this weekend! The leadership teams include:

Buildings: Chair Ed Thayres

Grounds: Co-Chairs John Applegate & Dave Finter

House: Co-Chairs Cory Wingerter & Todd Elsasser

Thanks to these and many other outstanding volunteers, the following key goals have been achieved:

Buildings: The R to R room flooring has been refurbished, storage units are now in place for the folding chairs and an electrical firm has been engaged to address a power supply issue on the docks

Grounds: The Club's flag pole is in the process of being upgraded and phase IV of placing shells on the club grounds has been completed

House Kitchen Upgrades: The convection oven, refrigerated chefs line and shelving have been procured and installed.  An outdoor walk-in cooler will be delivered during the week of May 13th

As I mentioned, the LYC pre-season opening is set for 5pm THIS Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th!  On Fridays and Saturdays this spring, the Bar will be open from 5pm to 11pm. This Friday we will offer a variety of pizza slices, and this Saturday we will offer a selection of appetizers, burgers and salads.

On behalf of the entire LYC Membership, I would like to extend sincere thanks to the Board of Governors, Flag Officers, Past Commodores and Club Committees for a highly productive off-season. We are now well-prepared for the 2019 pre-season!

Warmest regards,

George
