Message from Your Club: Coronavirus

Dear Members, As you may know, the Governor recently announced that the operation of marina facilities is permissible and provided additional guidance in support of boating activities, including the ability to launch and operate watercraft. As such, after discussions among Club leadership, the BBYRA and government officials, we are now permitting our Members to launch and operate watercraft from the Club and preparing our lifts and beach launching area for Member use. While our lifts are scheduled for refurbishment, we expect to have the middle lift operational by May 20th. While we hope that you enjoy your boat and being on the water, we ask that you do so responsibly for your safety and the safety of your fellow Members. To that end, we are taking appropriate precautionary measures and implementing strict requirements and guidelines that will remain in effect until further notice:

1. Maintain a safe social distance at all times while on Club property. We ask that you proceed directly from your home to your boat and avoid congregating while at the Club. 2. Boating is permitted only with those in your immediate household with whom you are quarantining. 3. After contacting boat lines, lifts or other marine equipment, please promptly wash your hands or use hand sanitizer to disinfect. 4. Please refrain from "rafting up" or "beaching" your boat in close proximity to others. Social distancing extends to the water.

Please note that Clubhouse facilities remain closed in compliance with the Governor's "stay-at-home" order. We expect that the Governor will utilize federal guidelines as a basis for determining when we may restore Clubhouse operations. We are meeting with State officials on a bi-weekly basis and will continue to share any developments as they become available. On behalf of your Board of Governors,

Commodore John Broderick
