In accordance with approval by the Board of Governors on May 18, 2019 and the provisions of Article XIX, Section 1 of the Bylaws of the Club, Commodore Anderson and Vice Commodore Newman have submitted to me a signed copy of proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws of the Club, which the Board of Governors recommends be approved by the Members at the first regular membership meeting of the season to be held on the evening of Friday, June 21, 2019.
Pursuant to Article XIX, Section 1 of the current Bylaws, I have posted a copy of the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws on the bulletin board at the Club on June 5, 2019. This e-mail is the notice of that posting that I am required to send to all members in accordance with Article XIX, Section 1 of the current Bylaws.
On the Members page of the LYC website, you will find links to the following:
A summary of the principal substantive changes to the current Bylaws that would be made by the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws if they are adopted by the members at the meeting of June 21, 2019. The summary has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Governors.
A copy of the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws, which the Board of Governors recommends be approved by the members at the meeting of June 21, 2019.
A "redlined" copy of the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws, which reflects the proposed changes to the current Bylaws. In this connection, the Board of Governors wishes to express appreciation to PC Bill Scheyer for carefully reviewing records of the Club to ensure accuracy of the version of the current Bylaws with which the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws are compared.
The Board of Governors also wishes to thank Past Commodores Broderick, Scheyer, Seggel and Pat Wright and VC Newman for their service on the Bylaws Committee and Past Commodores Bonn and Pat Wright for their efforts in drafting the final version of the proposed Amended and Restated Bylaws for review by the Board of Governors.
